From the above mentioned table that no. of candidates appeared in SSC CHSL is higher than the CGL. This is because in SSC CHSL 12^th pass candidate can also appear whereas graduation is the minimum qualification if we talk about the SSC CGL Exam.

SSC CGL and CHSL: Choose Right one for You 

 

• No. of Post and Seats: In CGL 2017, 8000+ seats and on contrary CHSL had just 3000+ seats only, less than half. And this pattern follows almost every year. 

 

• Competition Level: Almost every CGL candidate appear in CHSL exam once in their preparation phase. They came with higher level of preparation as compare to the Class 12^th pass candidates which enhances the level of competition and as well as cut-off marks even if the paper was easy.
